President Juan Bautista Quirós of Costa Rica, successor of Federico Tinoco, has been notified by the American Government that the validity of the Tinoco Constitution or any Government acting under that Constitution, would not be recognized by the United States.
Ex President Gonzalez has been informed by the State Department of this action. He has been in Washington since his overthrow by Tinoco and has been in close touch with the revolutionary movement against the Tinoco régime, headed by Julio Acosta, Minister of Foreign Affairs, under Gonzalez. 1)
