Firstly In the CP. Mexico there is no division y much less, Trotskyism.
There is no fractional struggle and we do not believe it possible in view of discipline within the party and the upward march of same.
Not having discussed the Trotskyism question sufficiently when it was most necessary, that is at time of the expulsion and statements of the bourgeois press, Comrade Mella was the speaker for the CC. defining the party position on this question. Also in the fifth part y conference the same comrade prepared the thesis on the Trotskyist question in the USSR and in the International.
Secondly Comrade Mella went to the with express permission of the CC to treat problems concerning the Revolutionary Nationalist Movement in Cuba which had a delegation in New York. When revolt flared up in Mexico Mella cabled at once offering to return to Mexico if his presence was necessary, but CC decided not to recall him due to the short life of the 1414Véase la nota 161.
