Carta del PC del Ecuador al periódico Daily Worker 1928 07 05 know that conditions such as they are now cannot go on. Our salvation is to be found in an immediate and continued fight and not in postponing the fight indefinitely. The time for open fight has come. can only say and do so on behalf of this PARTY of which we are trustees that with the help of the PROLETARIAT in all countries trust and believe that the oppressed of this colony will gain final victory upon this aristocracy, corrupt and heartless maintaining it luxurious idleness on a particularly odious form of human slavery. To the appeal which make to you, to you who are engaged withes in a common cause that leads to emancipation and liberty for the millions who make up the mass of mankind on behalf of the workers of this country and with which have been entrusted by the COMMUNIST PARTY OF ECUADOR. trust and believe and indeed am certain that the workers of America and all over the world will give a noble answer. We ask our FRIENDS, to take up this matter at once to device ways and means of raising fund through donations and loans.
Since the foundation of the communist PARTY OF Ecuador which at present hardly beyond the experimental stage a certain amount of work has been done but lack of funds has always hampered its work. At the present time all the undertakings and work of this PARTY unless we move at once to obtain mutual help and cooperation by means of which he work in this line can be carried on to final victory have to come an end. To carry on this vitally important work, in order to reform, to place the PARTY and the entire propaganda system on a firm foundation, also for the creation of a printing shop and weekly paper for propaganda purposes funds are needed. The EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE COMMUNIST LEAGUE OF CUADOR has worked out plans to raise a fraction of the huge sum required.
The workers members of the COMMUNIST PARTY OF AMERICA are expected to cooperate actively in this venture and we are confident that they are ready to contribute liberally and indeed we are certain that they will make our cause their own.
Comrades, will say no more. We have a great duty to fulfil and confidently we believe that the COMRADES workers and members of the COMMUNIST party OF AMERICA and all over the world will assist and enable us to do it.
