United Front

SOUDATUSAGINOSITI March 24th 1933 Political Buro CC CPUSA Deer Comrades: 2on of Bolation to the in the in the We wish to register our strenuous protest against the exclusion of the representative of our Buro from the meeting of your Political Buro which met to discuss the Manifesto of the BOCI on the united front in connection with the German situation. In spite of the fact that a formal request was made to that effect, this Buto was not called upon to send its representative to the above mentioned meeting.
The Caribbean Buro bases its protest against this exclusion on the following two points: The participation of our representative to your meeting would have constituted a help to our Baro in the solution of some of the problems which arise out of the ZOOI Manifesto in its application to the Caribbean countries, as one of our primary tasks is to guide our Caribbean Parties in the concretization of the CI directives. It was the hope of this Buro to stress in the course of the discussion in the Pol buro the urgent necessity for the American Party to include in its concrete proposals for the united front, the present wars in South America, very oftan neglegcted, as it was shown once more in the announcement made in the Daily Worker of Saturday March 18th on the proposed statement of the Ace rican Party on the question, in which you unfortunately left out the wars in South America while you mention the Far Eastern war.
