Carta de Borodin a José Allen 1920 11 25 MÉXICO 1276 1277 CARTA DE BORODIN JOSÉ ALLEN Comrade Jose Allen. 1279 General Secretary of the Communist Party of Mexico Dear Comrade! very much regret my inability to be present at your last meeting in which you adopted some important measures; among th em the decision to affiliate your Party with the Third International and to become known henceforth as the Communist Party of Mexico. It is a momentous decision and will, am certain, have far reaching consequences in the course of the revolutionary movement of the Mexican working class.
By expressing your solidarity with the principles upon which rests the Third International you have at the same time expressed your condemnation of the old Socialist Parties and their policies of temporizing; cooperation with the bourgeois; of social patriotism; of the anti revolutionary Second International. You have parted ways with the old vote getting parties, which sought to create the illusion in the working class that their economic emancipation is possible through arliamentarism, through so called democracy.
By your decision you have declared to the working class of Mexico, to the working class of all Latin America, to the working class of the world that to free ourselves from exploitation by the capitalist class yo u can conceive of only one way, the only revolutionary and therefore effective way, and that is by the complete overthrow of the bourgeois state and the institution of the temporary dictatorship of the proletariat. this decision of yours every class conscious worker the world over will rejoice will hail it with a sense of added strength.
